December Photo Album

from the Rainbow Shower, Maui

HAIKU, Maui, Dec 8 - Elizabeth kicked off the month of December with an exhibit of her artifacts at an all-day fair at the Waldorf School in Kula.

She shared the booth with our neighbor Kiki (holding her 6-mth old baby girl). Elizabeth and Kiki worked very hard for months to create their lauhala, feather leis, hats, kahilis and other artifacts.

Then the next day, Elizabeth and I attended a Christmas concert by the Maui Pops orchestra at the Castle Theater.

Next on the agenda in our frantic December schedule before both of us go off in different directions next week was a Hula Show. Elizabeth performed publicly for the first time with her group of ladies with whom she practices Hula every Tuesday at Kaunoa (in Paia). Here are first some still shots, followed by a 4-minute video I made of their today's show:

These were some other groups that also participated in the annual Hula show...

And now, here's that video...

First Rain in Weeks Creates Seasonal Photo-op

Normally, this is supposed to be a wet season at the Rainbow Shower. But we have not had any rain in weeks!  So we are finding that there is no such thing as "normal" around here. Not even on our washing machine settings. :-)

After I transplanted some Citronella and Kava plants yesterday, I went to the AHA (Anahata-Huaca-Ahu, the sacred place and the shaman's altar) and asked for rain.  "I can only do so much as your Gardener of Eden," I said. "Now it's up to you to keep those plants alive until I get back from Peru."

Well, we had our first rain this evening in I don't know how long. :-)  Yeah!  The rain also created a seasonal photo-op. So before dinner tonight, I took these shots which Elizabeth and I are sending to you as our "Seasons Greetings" cards. :-)

The first photo is a composite of the other two frames.

"Music of Rainbows" Rainbow

HAIKU, Dec 9 - A few minutes ago, I posted this "thank you"-note to James, Izildinha, Philippe... some of our Stewards who liked my musical creation for 12-21-12 - "Music of Rainbows," based on Mozart's Concerto #21 (see Mozart Concerto #21: Music of Rainbows - Tribute to 12-21-12):

"The honor was mine. I am only a lucky Steward called to serve by interpreting such beautiful music and the Spirit's messages."

And this is what occurred right after... (I had also posted this Comment below).

"You won't believe what just happened... right after I had written this message to you, I started listening to this recording again. Suddenly a rain shower appeared, the sun came out, and a most beautiful big clear sky rainbow formed in the west. I ran out to take some pictures and made a short video. Will post the story about it shortly.

I feel this rainbow is a message for ALL of you - Stewards of the Earth - showing you that we are all connected to the Spirit and Celestial realms through our hearts, not just me. Love Bob Altzar Djurdjevic"

And now, here's a photo of that "Music of Rainbows" rainbow.

Stand by for a short video of it which I am right now uploading...
