Halloween 2011 Show at Rainbow Shower

An impromptu musical show in Native Hawaiian costumes

HAIKU, Maui, Oct 31 - Hope you had a fun Halloween.  Ours was wonderful.  Mostly because almost everything was spontaneous.  We improvised and created as we went along.  And a result is a musical show they neither we, nor obviously you, could have expected.  The only thing we had planned in advance was to use the Native Hawaiian costumes Elizabeth had made last summer for our trip to Kona, Big Island. The rest unfolded as if orchestrated by magic, starting with these double rainbows... the first we have seen since coming back from our European trip:

And now, here are also some still pictures from our Halloween 2011 Show...

So overall, to say that we had fun this Halloween before we ever left home, would probably be an understatement of the year. :-)  And yes, we did leave home and went out for a Halloween walk and dinner in Paia... wearing our Native Hawaiian garbs, of course.  We were the only "natives" among the revelers. :-)

And that's all she wrote for the month of October from the Rainbow Shower.
