FROM WAILEA (MAUI), HAWAII A Sunset Swim WAILEA, Maui, Jan 3 - I spent the rest of the afternoon "foraging for food," as Karen and I jokingly refer to our shopping outings. By the time I made it back to my condo, the sun was already getting pretty low. I realized that for all my walking and exploring, I was yet to dip my toe in the ocean. So I went for a sunset swim...
Along the way, just below my unit, I discovered a banana tree! It was the first time in my life that I have seen bananas that weren't "grown" by supermarkets. :-)
Right on the beach, there was this patch of golden and red hibiscus flowers...
The sun was setting as I walked back up the hill to my condo...
